Send responses to HubSpot
Turn each response into a HubSpot contact, or update the one you already have. This goes through an automation tool, so connect that first: n8n, Zapier or Make.
We wrote these steps from each tool’s documentation, and haven’t run them with a real HubSpot account yet.
Add the contact
Your form needs a field holding the email address, since HubSpot identifies a contact by it.
| Tool | Step to add | Map |
|---|---|---|
| Zapier | HubSpot, action Create or Update Contact | Email to your email field under data, fields, then the others |
| Make | HubSpot CRM, module Create or Update a Contact | Email to data, fields, then your email field |
| n8n | HubSpot, resource Contact, operation Create/Update | Email to {{ $json.body.data.fields.email }} |
Then send a test from Formerie, check the contact, and delete it. The test uses sam@example.com.
Good to know
- Use the “create or update” action, not plain create. A delivery can arrive twice, and the same person can answer twice.
- Test sends have
testset to true. Filter them out, as the tool’s guide shows, sosam@example.comstays out of your contacts. - Consent is yours to collect. If you’ll email these contacts, ask on the form, and map that answer to a HubSpot property.
- Language:
data.submission.languagesays which language the person used. Map it if you write to people in their own.
