Add a form to your Drupal site

Works through the script embed. Checked on Drupal 11.4.11, November 2026. No module needed.

Your form goes in a content block, with the Full HTML text format, and you choose where the block shows. The text format matters most here, since the others remove the script.

Before you start

Publish your form, then on the Publish tab, choose Embed and copy the code. It looks like this, with your own form’s address:

HTML
<script
  src="https://forms.formerie.com/embed.js"
  data-formerie-form="fm_t77txbvg43nmar"
></script>

You need a role that can use Full HTML. By default, that’s Administrator.

Add the block

  1. Go to Content, then the Blocks tab, and choose Add content block.
  2. Fill in Block description, such as “Contact form”.
  3. Set Text format to Full HTML. Do this before pasting.
  4. In the editor’s toolbar, choose Source, and paste your code. Choose Source again to leave that view.
  5. Choose Save.

Show it on your site

  1. Go to Structure, then Block layout.
  2. Beside the region you want, such as Content, choose Place block.
  3. Beside your block, choose Place block.
  4. Choose Save block. The block shows on every page, unless you limit it under Visibility first.

Check it arrived

Open the page while signed out, fill out the form and submit it. It says it was received, and the answers show on the form’s Submissions tab.

That’s a real submission, so your recipients get the email. On your own computer, at an address with a port such as http://localhost:8080, it’s stored as a test instead, and the form says so. To try the form on any other address without reaching them, use a try link.

Limits

  • It needs JavaScript in the visitor’s browser.
  • Your theme’s styles don’t reach the form. Change its look in Formerie.
  • A form has one language. For a second language, make a second form, with its own block for that language.
  • This was checked with the Standard profile, the Olivero theme and a block. The new site had no content types to try a page’s body. Sites with stricter text formats, or a security module, weren’t checked.
