Account Security

Protect your account with a second sign-in check or a passkey, and end any session you don’t recognize. Open Settings, then Account or Sign-In & Security.

Add A Passkey

Sign in with your device or a hardware security key, without a password.

  1. Open Account, and choose Add passkey.
  2. Follow your browser’s prompt, then name the passkey, such as “Laptop”.

Add one on each device you use. You can rename or delete them later.

Turn On Two-Factor Sign-In

Ask for a one-time code from an authenticator app each time you sign in.

  1. In Sign-In & Security, choose Set up authenticator app.
  2. Add the account to your app, then enter the 6-digit code.
  3. Save your 8 recovery codes somewhere safe.

Each recovery code works once, in place of a code from the app. If you generate new ones, the old ones stop working.

End A Session

Active sessions lists the browsers and devices signed in to your account, with when they were last seen. End one, or all the others at once. A session lasts up to 30 days.

The same page lists recent sign-ins and sensitive changes. If something looks wrong, end the other sessions and change your password.

Change How You Sign In

Under Account, you can change your primary email, set or remove a password, and connect or disconnect a sign-in provider, such as Google. Formerie keeps you from removing your last way in, so add another method first.

Changing your email takes effect once you confirm it from the new address. Sensitive changes may ask you to sign in again first.
