# Surveys And Questionnaires

Formerie works well for short surveys where you read the answers one by one, such
as feedback, post-event, or client questionnaires. Here is what it covers today.

## What Works Today

- **Question types:** single choice, multiple choice, dropdown, short and long text,
  number, rating, and slider. Rating and slider questions are collected with a
  standard number control on hosted pages.
- **Follow-up questions:** show a question only when an earlier answer applies.
- **Steps:** a survey with two or more sections shows one at a time, with Next and
  Back and a counter such as "Step 2 of 4". See

- **Sharing:** a hosted link, a script embed, or your own UI.
- **Open and close dates:** set a response window, with your own closed message.
- **A cap on responses:** stop accepting responses after a set number, in total or
  per day, week, or month. See [Spam Protection](/guides/spam-protection/).
- **Language:** French or English.
- **Reading responses:** open each response in the app, and get an email for each one
  if you add a recipient.
- **Spam checks and human verification**, like every form.

## What's Coming

These aren't available yet:

- Charts and totals for each question.
- Completion tracking.
- Export of answers. The CSV download has metadata only, such as status and dates.
- One response per person. The cap on responses counts the whole survey, not each
  person.
- Dedicated rating and slider controls on hosted pages.

## A Short Example

A post-event survey can have a rating from 1 to 5, a "What should we improve?" text
question that only appears for ratings of 3 or less, and a closing date one week after
the event.
