# Recipients And Senders

Send responses to the right inbox, from an address people recognize. Recipients are
who gets a response. Senders are who it appears to come from.

Workspace owners and admins manage both, and each workspace keeps its own list.

## Add A Recipient

1. Open **Recipients** and add the email address.
2. The person clicks the link in the verification email. The link works for 7 days.
3. On a form, open **Delivery** and choose the recipient.

Until it's verified, a recipient stays pending and receives nothing. If the email got
lost, send it again from the recipient's row, after a one-minute wait.

Addresses on a domain your workspace has [verified](/guides/custom-domains/) skip the email
and are ready right away.

A form without recipients still accepts responses and keeps them under **Submissions**.

## Choose A Sender

You don't need a sender to start. Your forms send from the Formerie default address.

To send from your own address:

1. [Connect an email provider](/guides/email-providers/).
2. Open **Senders**, add the address, and choose the provider.
3. Confirm the address from the email Formerie sends it, within 7 days.
4. On a form, open **Delivery** and choose the sender.

An address on a domain your workspace has verified is trusted immediately.

## Stop Using One

| Action | What happens |
| --- | --- |
| Disable | Stays attached to forms, and nothing is delivered or sent through it |
| Archive | Stays saved, leaves the current list, and is blocked until restored |
| Trash | Blocked until restored or replaced |
| Delete permanently | Removed for good, once forms no longer use it |

If a form's only recipient is blocked, responses are still saved. You can
[retry delivery](/guides/submissions-and-deliveries/) after fixing it.
