# Your Own Email Provider

Send notifications through your own email account, with your domain's reputation and
your provider's logs. This is optional: forms work without it, using Formerie's default
address.

Connecting a provider needs a plan that includes it. The Free plan doesn't. See
[Plans And Limits](/guides/plans-and-limits/).

## Connect A Provider

Workspace owners and admins can do this.

1. Open **Destinations**, or start from **Senders**.
2. Choose the provider and name the connection.
3. Enter what it asks for, listed below.
4. [Add a sender](/guides/recipients-and-senders/) that uses this connection.
5. On a form, open **Delivery** and choose **Send test delivery**.

| Provider | What you need |
| --- | --- |
| Postmark | Server token |
| Resend, SendGrid, SMTP2GO, Brevo, Mailtrap, Sender.net | API key |
| Mailchimp Transactional (Mandrill) | Mailchimp API key |
| Mailgun | API key and sending domain |
| SMTP | Host, port, and login |

SMTP must be secure. Port 465 uses TLS from the start, and ports 587 and 2525 use
STARTTLS. Plain SMTP and port 25 aren't supported.

## Your Key Stays Private

Keys are encrypted when saved and stay on the server. The app shows that a key exists,
never the key itself, and browsers and SDKs never receive it. To change a key, enter a
new one on the connection.

## If Delivery Fails

The submission page says what went wrong, such as an unreachable provider or missing
credentials. See [Submissions And Deliveries](/guides/submissions-and-deliveries/).

## Not Available Yet

The **Destinations** catalog also lists integrations that are still planned, such as
webhooks and other email services. You can request one there. Only the providers above
can be connected today.
